About me

I work as a Programme Officer for Community and Program Support, Access To Knowledge for Centre for Internet and Society. In the past I have worked in the teaching profession. As volunteer, I have been particularly very active on Wikimedia Commons and Hindi Wikipedia. I have also contributed to the English and Urdu Wikipedia and other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation.

I'm with the Access To Knowledge team - and we work on supporting, building and expanding the community in India.

Details of my work

The A2K Programme has prioritized five Indian language Wikimedia projects and developed a detailed plan. These languages are: Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, Konkani, Odia. In addition to these languages, CIS also plans to expand its activities for Hindi and Urdu language projects. My main aim is to focus on Hindi and Urdu Wikipedia language projects.

My work broadly includes providing support to community in engaging new editors and supporting Access to Knowledge:

• New editors on Social media
• Outreach Programs
• On wiki support to new editors
• To bring in institutional partnerships.
