Trainmaster (Railroad)
 
A Trainmaster's position for US freight railroads generally involves being responsible for such things as freight train movements, locomotive assignments, crew assignments, personnel supervision, discipline, derailments, and terminal management. In the past, most trainmasters were promoted from the ranks of brakemen and conductors.
