This template can be used to flag sections of "famous people" or "notable people" around a given subject where it isn't clear from the article by what grounds people are chosen for the list. For instance, a list of "notable alumni" for a particular school may not include every single graduate who has a Wikipedia article, but the ones who are chosen should not be arbitrary.
This template will add articles to the hidden Category:unverifiable lists of persons; if a month and year is provided with |date= then the article will be added to a month-specific sub-category.
