This template creates a link to a list of map sources. It is the same as {{coord}} but uses a UK Ordnance Survey grid reference as the coordinates.

Using this template is equivalent to using the {{OS coord}} template, but with the region set to "GB" and scale set to "25000". For more information see the documentation for {{OS coord}}.

Use:

{{OS coord|cc|tt}}

Where:

  • cc is the grid reference in one of the formats listed below. For example: TQ123456
  • tt is the text to appear in the link.

Grid reference formats - letters are not case-sensitive:

  Great Britain
888_999 Two decimal numbers - eastings then northings in metres
separated by an underscore (for consistency with {{coord}})
E.g.: 439668_1175316
SE Standard grid references.
In each of these cases, the actual coordinates passed to the map sources page will be the centre of the square that the grid ref defines.
Spaces between elements are optional.

SE1267
SE 123 678
SE 1234 6789
SE1234567890 Full "ten figure" grid reference
Ireland - proposed - not yet implemented
i888_999 Letter 'i' followed by two decimal numbers - eastings then northings in metres
separated by an underscore
