This template makes a box linking to a category of Wiktionary.
Usage
संपादन करींThe template requires two parameters:
category
– the Wiktionary category nametype
– descriptive text
Example code:
Result:
For a list of words relating to similes in the Modern English language, see the English similes category of words in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. |
This template is a self-reference and so is part of the Wikipedia project rather than the encyclopaedic content.
Location
संपादन करींDo not place this template in a section all by itself.
Do not place this template in a section containing columns.
This template should normally be placed at the top of the ==External links== section at the end of an article, if the article has a section for external links. If no such section exists, then please place it at the top of the last section in the article.
On disambiguation pages, this template should be listed above other text, but below any cleanup templates, images, infoboxes or navboxes.
See Wikipedia:Wikimedia sister projects#Where to place links for more information and alternatives.

संपादन करींTemplate | Alias | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Wiktionary | wt | Makes a box. |
Wiktionary pipe | wtp | Ditto. Allows a piped link. |
See Wiktionary | A disambiguation hatnote type. Useful if the article title is a generic name, but the content differs from it. For example, Tryout is an article about a journal, and this template is used to link to "tryout" page in Wiktionary. | |
Wiktionary-inline | wti | Can be used in the "External links" section, by making a one-line navigator. Not inline in the usual sense. |
Wiktionary redirect | wtr | Makes a soft redirect. |
Wiktionary category 2 | wtc | Similar to wt, but links to a category in Wiktionary. |
Wiktionary category | Ditto, more verbose type. | |
Linktext | Turns each of consecutive words into an Wiktionary link, or any other interwiki / interlang link. Example: táłtłʼááh → táłtłʼááh adijiłii
| |
wikt-lang | Applies a language tag to a word, and links to that language's section of the Wiktionary entry on the word, much like the m and l templates on Wiktionary. For instance, en yields was, and is equivalent to en |

Moving a non-encyclopedic entry to Wiktionary:
- Copy to Wiktionary: Attach this if you find an article which should be moved to Wiktionary.
- Transwikied to Wiktionary, : Pasted at the top of the talk page by admins.
Markups:
- wikt:ᐁᕕᖃ → wikt:ᐁᕕᖃ
- "myxomycete" in Japanese → "myxomycete" in Japanese (You can use a pipe as usual.)
- wikt:curcubeu → curcubeu (You can hide "wikt:" by a pipe trick.)
