Richard Melari, a talented young vocal impressionist/ singer from Cleveland, Ohio, was born December 17, 1931 [ died June 27, 1999]. He performed with acts such as Horace Heidt as well as guest starring with Jimmy Stewart on one of the first TV broadcasts for NBC. While being known for his intense impersonations of famous singers and actors, his own voice was locally popular as he made quite a few records. In the late 1950's and early 1960's he performed at many local entertainment sites. He resided for many years in Mentor, Ohio with his wife Janet [deceased] and son Gary[wife Linda].
