Richard Melari, a talented young male vocal impressionist/ singer from Cleveland, Ohio, was born December 17, 1931 [deceased June 27, 1999]. He performed with Horace Heidt's troup for many years as well as appearing with Jimmy Stewart on the first NBC TV broadcast in Cleveland. Entertaining all his life and making records, he finally resided in Mentor, Ohio with his wife Janet [deceased 2005] and son Gary [wife Linda]. He was best known for his mimicry of big time singers as well as his own voice. Al Jolson was his favorite entertainer.
